Versailles with kids

Ya estamos de vuelta a casa, después de haber estado por la capital francesa unos cuantos días.
We are back home, after being in Paris for a few days. 

El viaje se puede dividir en dos partes, los primeros días fuimos acogidos por Javi y Nono en su mansión de Versalles. Otros aventureros que se mudaron de Madrid a París, podeís seguir sus aventuras en Nono's blog.  Mas bien podríamos decir que les invadimos su casa. Pasaron de la tranquilidad y el silencio de una pareja maravillosa que viven tan felices con su perro Menta (el mejor perro del mundo) a tener a 4 terremotos atormentando a Menta y gritando por todas partes. Que buenas las visitas que duran poco, deben estar pensando tan contentos en su salón/cine que tienen tan bien montado. La segunda parte será en París, nuestros planes con 4 niños y luego nuestra maravillosa estancia en casa la familia Metulesco. Una maravillosa familia que conocimos en Londres y se nos escaparon demasiado pronto a París.

Our holidays could be divided in two parts. The first days we have been in Javi and Nono's mansion in Versailles. They are a couple who moved from Spain to Paris, you can read their adventures in Nono's blog. We could say that we invaded their house. From the calm and silence of a lovely couple living with their dog, Menta (the best dog ever in history) to have 4 kids screaming and disturbing the dog all the time. "Short visits are nice, I imagine they are now thinking on having a rest in their living room/cinema that they have in their house. The second part of our holidays will be our visit to Paris with 4 kids and our days with the Metulesco's  family. A fabulous family we met in London and they left us very soon to Paris.

Me ha encantado Versalles, por supuesto el Palacio y los impresionantes jardines. Tuvimos mala suerte y los dos días que íbamos dispuestos a recorrernos los jardines nos llovió, pero aún así dimos unos paseos cortitos pero muy bonitos.

I have enjoyed Versailles. Of course the Palace and the garden are awesome. We had bad luck with the weather as we tried to visit twice and both days was raining, but we enjoyed it with a short stroll around the gardens.

Ante la lluvia nos fuimos a recorrernos el centro, el viernes hay un mercado de comida en la plaza, que buena pinta tenía todo y que bonito!!! Cómo echo de menos los mercados!!!

Because the rain we decided to go to the city centre. On Friday is the food market with all the stands outside in the square. Everything with beautiful appearance. How much I miss traditional food markets!!!

Comimos en una Brasserie super rica, donde tenían un rincón con libros para los niños, que fácil es hacer la vida fácil a los demás. Luego paseamos por las callecitas peatonales viendo unas tiendas preciosas. Mis descubrimientos de shopping en otro post, que sino esto no acaba nunca.
We had lunch in a nice Brasserie, just in the same square. The food was incredible and they had a corner with books for the kids. How simple is to do make life easy in a restaurant with kids. After lunch we walked around the pedestrian streets with all the small shops. About shopping will leave it for another post if not I will not finish ever.

Muy recomendable un paseo por Versalles.
