Hemos estado el fin de semana con 6 niños alrededor y 9 mayores, así que teníamos que estar super bien organizados, y la verdad ha salido el fin de semana genial¡¡

We have been with 6 kids and 9 adults, so we needed to be very well organized. At the end all the weekend was great¡¡

El sábado por la mañana había reservado en Royal Army Museum, ya os hablé del museo Army Museum, Kids Zone.
Me parece un plan perfecto, los niños tienen 1 hora de playground para jugar, que lo pasan genial y los mayores pueden visitar el museo que es bastante curioso y entretenido.
Para comer había que buscar un sitio cerca, amplio, rico y no muy caro. Tarea no muy fácil en Chelsea...Pero hemos acertado de pleno:

Saturday morning I had booked in Royal Army Museum, I have talked about this playground for the kids in this post: Army Museum, Kids Zone. I think it is perfect, the kids have 1 hour to play in a very nice playground and the adults can visit the museum that it is interesting and curious. To eat we needed a place not very far away, with space to put all the prams, not very expensive, delicious and of course family friendly. Something not so easy to find in Chelsea. But we found it and it was perfect:

Es el restaurante de la galería Saatchi&Saatchi, que está en Chelsea. No habíamos estado antes, pero cumplió con todos los requisitos, tuvimos una mesa muy amplia con espacio para los niños, tenían elevadores para las sillas de los niños. Es muy bonito, tienen varios comedores y arriba tenían salas para cenas privadas. En todas las paredes hay obras de arte que están a la venta. Rico, muy bueno. Todos los platos que pedimos estaban muy ricos, tienen menú para niños, y la presentación era chulísima. Y todo esto estaba muy bien de precio. Así que todos contentos con la elección.

It is the restaurant of the Saatchi&Saatchi Gallery. We haven't been there before, but it was recommended and really carried out with all the requirements. We had a big table with space to leave the prams. The kids had their highchairs and kids menu. The restaurant is very nice with differents rooms. All the walls had art work. And the food was delicious and very very well presented. And all of that at really good price. So everybody was happy with the election.

Christmas plans with kids in London- Santa Claus in Harrods

Cómo no nos vamos a contagiar de Navidad, es imposible¡¡

It is impossible not to get infected with Christmas spirit¡¡¡

Hoy nos han dado entradas para ir a ver a Papa Noel a Harrods, era esta misma tarde, pero he pensado que a las niñas les iba a encantar, así que nos hemos cogido el autobús y allí que nos hemos plantado. Visitar a Papa Noel por toda la ciudad es una de las actividades estrellas en esta ciudad. Como todo, hay que reservar con tiempo las entradas, pero la verdad es que está muy bien montado.

Te pasan por unos pasillos del mundo de Papa Noel, con gente vestida poniendo selectos en unas cartulinas que les dan a la entrada, todo con villancicos de fondo. Al final te pasan a una salita con Papa Noel, allí las niñas le dicen lo buenas que han sido y todos los regalos que quieren. Te hacen  unas fotos, que recoges a la salida previo pago, y tan contentos a casa. 

Today they have given us tickets to visit Santa Claus at Harrods this afternoon so after school we went there. I thought that the girls were going to enjoy it a lot, so we took the bus and we went to visit Grotto. As always in this city you need to book in advance to have your slot with Santa, but it has been worthy. You entry in Grottos house with people giving you stamps and asking for your wishes, all with Christmas carols. At the end, you knock at Santa´s door and he is waiting for you. Oli was scared but Matilda was very happy with him. They took some pictures, that you can collect at the exit.

Eso si, lo tienen montado al lado del mundo Disney de princesas y claro, hemos acabado pidiendo todas las princesas, con todos sus vestidos e incluso sus casas...

But, they have the Grottos house in the Disney princesses area, so at the exit you have all their stuff and of course the girls have asked for all of that, dresses, dollies and also the house of Rapunzel..

Merece la pena si vas a pasar en estas fechas por Londres.

It is worth if you are in London for Christmas.

Ideas para hacer calendario Adviento/Advent Calendar DIY

Una vez pasado Halloween, ya parece que llega Navidad. En Londres ya han iluminado las calles, Harrods ya tiene su iluminación navideña y todas las tiendas ya están con cosas de Navidad. Así que nada como contagiarse y empezar a pensar en adornos navideños.

Halloween has gone and Christmas is here. In London they have already the lights on, Harrods has their Christmas illumination and all the shops have all the things for Christmas. So we are infected with their Christmas spirit and begin to think about the Christmas decoration.

Neighborhood Shop / Tienda de barrio muy interesante

Hoy os traigo una tienda de barrio que es una preciosidad. La verdad es que hay que ser muy del barrio para encontrarla, no está en nigua calle comercial, yo creo que ahí esta su encanto. Tienen una selección de cosas increíbles, de las marcas mas chulas. Antik Batik, Aden +Anais, Kidscase, Petit Bateau.. Siento decir que no es muy barata..Pero siempre encuentras cosas muy irresistibles.

Today I want to show you a nice shop in the neighborhood. You need to live here to find it because it is located in a small street and I think this is their charming. They have a incredible selection of different things, clothes, shoes, toys, bedding...All of the best brands: Antik Batik, Aden +Anais, Kidscase, Petit Bateau..I am sorry but it is not very cheap.. But you always can find something interesting.

Hop Like a Bunny:

Está al lado del metro de Holland Park, si pasaís por ahí merece una visita. Es pequeñita pero seguro que encontráis algo chulo. También tienen una selección de juguetes y de accesorios perfectas para un regalito.

It is located close to Holland Park tube. If you are around, you can visit it. It's a small shop, but I am sure you are going to find something interesting. They have a section with toys and accesories perfect for a present.

Muchos planes Londres / Busy weekend in London

Hemos tenido un fin de semana increíble. Que bueno es cuando viene alguien con quien has "vivido" durante 2 años y hace 6 meses que no ves, pero es como si no se hubieran ido nunca...Que bien lo hemos pasado¡¡

We had a incredible weekend. It is so nice when someone who has lived with you for 2 years but has left 6 months ago and it's like they have never left. Very nice to see you¡¡

Empezamos el jueves con Halloween. Todos disfrazados y a la calle. Que divertido. Había un montón de gente por la calle, vas llamando a las casas que están decoradas y tienen calabazas en la puerta. Te dan un montón de caramelos y ves la entrada de casas increíbles. Muy recomendable el paseo por la calle.

We began on thursday with Halloween. Everybody dressed up and in the street. How funny¡¡ There were a lot of people in the street and a lot of houses with pumpkins and halloween decorations. So we got a lot of sweets and we snooped the incredible houses. Very recommended the stroll in the neighborhood.

El viernes por la mañana nos fuimos hasta la Tate Modern, que bonito paseo. Nos bajamos del metro en San Paul, cruzamos el río y llegas al edificio de la Tate, que es una antigua central de energía, solo ver el edificio merece la pena. Bueno, ahora no es el mejor momento, están de obras porque están haciendo otro edificio detrás para ampliarlo. Aún así, sigue siendo increíble. En la planta de abajo, tienen un cubo de cristal que siempre tienen actividades para niños. Esta vez había que montar películas, tenían rollos de pelis y muchos papeles de colores y los tenías que montar a modo de rollo de cine. Nada parecido a eso nos salió, pero pasamos un buen rato pegando y viendo a través de los papeles de colores.

Friday morning, we went to the Tate Modern. We went in the tube to San Paul, then we crossed the river and you in front you have the building of the Tate. The building was a Power Station and really it is amazing. Now is not the best moment to visit, it's under construction because they are doing another building behind to extend the museum. But you can visit the regular exhibitions. We have been in the ground floor, they have a cristal cube where they have always activities for the kids. We were there doing films. They have a lot of cinema roll and a lot of color papers to assemble a film. We spent a great time playing with the papers.

Para comer, si vas por detrás de la Tate hay una calle llena de restaurantes de todo tipo. Nosotros elegimos un italiano muy rico, Vapiano.
To have a lunch, you can go behind the Tate there is a big street with a lot of restaurants. We chose one Italian restaurant, Vapiano.

Tienes que pedir la comida en una barra/cocina, te preparan tu plato en el momento y con tu bebida te sientas donde quieras. Tienen todo tipo de pastas y pizzas, todo muy rico. Por supuesto tienen menú de niños y sillas para niños. La zona para sentarse es bastante amplia, hay mesas altas y otra zona con mesas bajitas con puf para sentarse que está muy bien para los niños.

You order the food in the kitchen bar, they cook it to you in the moment. You have pasta and pizza, everything yummy yummy. You choose your drink an take a seat wherever you want. There are high tables and another area with small tables with puffs to seat, very funny with the kids. 

Después de comer, nos cogimos un taxi, me encantan los taxis ingleses, tan grandes que metes el carrito sin plegar, y como las distancias son tan largas a mis hijas les da tiempo a echarse una siestecita para recuperar fuerzas. Nos esperaba una tarde entera de actividades. Empezamos por el Museo de Ciencias, donde hemos pasado tantas tardes juntos. Eso si, nunca tan lleno como estaba el viernes, madre mía que de gente. Estuvimos un ratito jugando en el parque que tienen en la planta de abajo, (aquí teneos mi post del museo de ciencias Museo Ciencias. Como había mucha gente y la verdad hacia bastante calor, decidimos cruzar Hyde Park en busca de un helado. Nada como motivar a los niños para que se crucen el parque corriendo. Así que acabamos la tarde en la cafetería del palacio de Kensington tomando un helado, café y un té.
La mejor estrategia para echar a la gente porque cerraban que he visto nunca, en lugar de avisar que cerraban en 5 minutos, nos avisaron que cerraban las puertas del parque en 10 minutos, así que todo el mundo a la carrera, creo que vacíaron la cafetería en 2 minutos. Estos ingleses son increíbles¡¡¡

After lunch, we took a taxi, I love cabs. You can go inside without folding your pram. The distances are so long, so my daughters had time for a nap to load batteries for the afternoon. We went to Science Museum, it's the place where we spent a lot of afternoons but never we saw it so full of people, amazing. We were there for a short time and after playing in the playground in the basement Science Museum we went to cross Hyde park looking for an ice cream, nothing like this to motivate the kids to run in the garden. Finally we went to the cafe in the Kensington Palace. I saw the best strategy to empty a place, they told us that in 10 minutes the doors of the park were going to close. and everybody left in less than 2 minutes. This english people are incredible¡¡¡



Mañana sigo con los planes del fin de semana. Quien dijo que en esta ciudad no había planes para hacer con niños?
Tomorrow I will continue with the weekend plans. Who said that in this city you cannot do a lot of things with kids?
