Oxford with kids

Irse a Oxford de resaca con 2 niñas pequeñas, tiene su mérito.
To go to Oxford with hangover and 2 kids, it's got its merit. 

Gracias a que tenemos coche, http://molondo.blogspot.co.uk/2014/05/practical-things-living-london-car.html, ya no tenemos límites...Este fin de semana soleado y acompañados por mi señor padre, nos hemos ido de excursión a Oxford. Está como a 1 hora de coche, también está muy bien comunicado con una autobús y por el tren.

Fortunately we have the car, as you can see http://molondo.blogspot.co.uk/2014/05/practical-things-living-london-car.html, so we don't have limits. Last weekend we had sunny days, so accompanied by my father, we went to visit Oxford. It is 1 hour by car from London, but is very well communicated by bus and train.  

Cuando llegamos lo primero hacernos con un mapa de la ciudad para ver donde está lo mas interesante para visitar. Nuestra primera decisión, bastante acertada, es subirnos al autobús turístico que nos va a enseñar la ciudad en 50 minutos y así las niñas no se agotan. Muy buena opción. Nunca me han gustado pero creo que con niños y buen tiempo son una gran opción, hasta que Olivia se hace pis y nos tenemos que bajar corriendo.

When we arrived, first of all we got a city map to check where are the most important things to visit. Our first decision was to take the touristic bus, that allows you to see the city in 50 minutes so the girls doesn't get tired. It is a very good option. I never liked it but I think with kids is a very good choice...until Olivia needs to do wee wee and we have to get off....

Para mi Oxford tiene cómo dos partes, por un lado el centro con las calles peatonales, lleno de pubs, tienditas, el Ayuntamiento y la biblioteca y por otro lado los colleges, hay 38. Los puedes pasear por fuera, hay un montón, te dejan asomarte, para entrar hay que pagar unos 2 pounds por college. Nosotros elegimos visitar el Trinity College, que está en todo el centro. Es curioso verlos por dentro. Te dejan ver el comedor, la biblioteca y la capilla. Bueno y pasear por todas las zonas comunes. Nada del otro mundo, pero imaginarte estudiando en esos colleges tiene su encanto.

For me Oxford has 2 different sides, the city centre with the pedestrian streets with all the shops and pubs and in the other hand "The Colleges". In Oxford there are 38 colleges, you can pay and visit it. We chose The Trinity College. It's located in the city centre, you pay 2 pounds and you can go inside the chapel, library and dinning room and of course you can walk around all the communal areas. 

Para comer nos decidimos por un Pub y luego tiramos la manta en un jardín muy grande, una siestecita para reponer fuerzas con un helado, que siempre ayuda.

For lunch we chose a Pub and after that we put the blanket in a big garden to have a nap and we had ice cream, this always helps.
