Esta semana he tenido un poco abandonado mi blog, con las ganas que empecé hace 2 semanas... Las razones son variadas, un viaje relámpago a Madrid con 30 grados (en Londres no subimos de 15) y visitas varias, mi madre esta aquí disfrutando de nietas.
This week I had my blog abandoned, with all the excitement I began 2 weeks ago...The reasons are various, I went to Madrid (30 degrees while here in London we don't have more than 15) and I have visitors, my mother is here enjoying her grandchildren.
Bueno aquí estoy de nuevo. Hoy quiero contaros un poco de turismo, aunque llevo en esta ciudad 2 años, la verdad es que siempre hay cosas bonitas que ver, sobre todo cuando hay sol. Voy a intentar contaros recorridos de las zonas turísticas y de las zonas menos conocidas de esta ciudad infinita.
Well, I am here again¡¡ Today I want to talk about doing some tourism in London. This is my second year living in London and it is something I like to do as you always find something special to see or to enjoy even more with good weather. I will try to explain my favourites routes in the city, someone are very common and others are not in the classical tourist areas.
Empezamos por un clásico:

Como tuvimos que ir a recoger a un visitante a la estación de Liverpool Street (viva Ryanair que une mundos a precios muy asequibles, por muy toca pelotas que sean) , empezamos nuestro recorrido en la City. Yo desde que estoy aquí esta de obras, por todas partes, rascacielos nuevos, o aceras levantadas, no se siempre con ruido y vallas.
We went to pick up a visitor to Liverpool St (bravo Ryanair! joining worlds at low prices, although sometimes you hate them….), We began our route in the City. Since I am living in London, there are always construction works in the City. It is an area with a lot of noise, fences and working people running.
Empezamos el itinerario saliendo de la estación por Bishopgate nos dirigimos hacia el rio, caminando un poquito, nos encontramos con la galeria Leadenhall, que es un mercado del s XIX que es precioso.
We leave the train station of Bishopgate to the river. We find the Leadenhall Market, is a incredible market of XIX century and it is amazing.
No es muy recomendable comer, pero para tomar una pinta entre ejecutivos agresivos, no está mal.
It is not the best place to eat, but it´s perfect to take a pint with the people who works there.
Si seguimos bajando llegamos a la Torre de Londres, un castillo usado como prisión, donde cortaban las cabezas a las reinas, como a Ana Bolena por traición al Rey Enrique VIII.
If we continue we arrive to London Tower. It is a castle and prison, famous because they cut the head of Ana Bolena for high treason to Henry VIII (her husband)
Detrás de la Torre hay una zona impresionante que te traslada a cualquier ciudad con mar, gracias a un embarcadero impresionante, St Katherine Docks, que hacen todos esos barcos anclados en mitad de la ciudad??, increible¡¡¡ Hay un montón de restaurantes y cafeterías para tomar un cafetín, si el tiempo lo permite en terraza mucho mejor.
Behind the tower, you can find a incredible space with docks, called St Katherine Docks, with a incredible boats anchors in the city of London, really is amazing¡¡ You have a lot of restaurants and coffee shops to take one, if its possible in the terraces it would be perfect.
Bajamos al rio y cogemos un barco de linea que por 6 pounds te lleva a Westminster, en un paseo por el rio muy chulo que encima te acerca un poco hacia nuestra casa...
After that, we go down to the river and take a line boat to Westminster, it is perfect to see the city and rest a little bit.
En Westminster no puede faltar un paseo por el Big Ben y las casas del Parlamento con un jardin estupendo al final de los parlamentos para que los enanos puedan correr, que lo agradecen de vez en cuando...
Once in Westminster, of course the Big Ben, the London Eye and the Houses of Parliament, are waiting for us...
