Hoy nos tomamos una copa en Madrid

Hoy en lugar de un café una copa? Que ya es viernes!!

El pasado fin de semana estuvimos en Madrid y mi hermana que es un sol, nos organizó un fiestón para celebrar nuestra vuelta y mi cumpleaños. Fue la pera!!! Gracias!!!
Last weekend we went to Madrid and my sister organized an incredible party in one of the most beautiful buildings in Madrid. Thank you!!!

El sitio mas espectacular no podía ser. El edificio de Correos de Madrid. Por si no lo conocéis es el edificio donde antes estaba correos que lo han rehabilitado y una parte es el Ayuntamiento de Madrid, en otras salas hay exposiciones y alquilan espacios para hacer fiestas privadas. Lo mejor, la terraza que se puede visitar o ir a tomar algo tranquilamente con las mejores vistas de Madrid. Si tenéis que organizar una fiesta, no lo dudéis es espectacular.

The place is completely amazing, The post office building reconverted in the town hall of Madrid and you can find exhibitions and they rent space to do private parties. The best of the building is the roof, they have one of the best terraces in Madrid. If you want to organize a party, don't doubt it, this is your place. 

Nosotros estábamos en una sala que debía ser la antigua capilla, super bonita decorada con unos globos que dieron mucho juego. Con pelucas y gorros para hacer photocall con la familia y amigos. Super divertido.

We were in a room that used to be the ancient chapel, very nice space and decorated with amazing ballons which let us have a lot of fun. My sister also brought stuff for the photocall like wigs, hats and a boa was really great.

¿Nos tomamos un café?, con noticia interesante

Si estuviéramos tomando un café...te contaría que las cosas mas increíbles pasan cuando menos te lo esperas. Te contaría la noticia bomba, nos volvemos a Madrid!!!! Si, después de casi 4 años en Londres nos volvemos. La razón fundamental es que yo he encontrado un trabajo de lo mío, estoy super ilusionada, volver a trabajar!!! Han sido casi 4 años de full mother y blogger que no cambiaría por nada del mundo, aunque he tenido mis momentos de pánico. Es una oportunidad en el mejor momento para nosotros, por el trabajo de mi señor esposo, las niñas terminan en Navidad aquí y en enero empiezan nuevo cole en Madrid, (estoy en pánico con los coles....en busca de cole inglés con plaza para las 2...), tenemos que buscar nueva casa, yo empezar a trabajar de nuevo....bueno muchas cosas pero con mucha ilusión. 

Si estuviéramos tomando un café...te contaría que respecto a Molondo, tengo que pensar un poco como reinventarlo, aunque su base han sido los planes con niños en Londres, ahora tendrá que "evolucionar" y cambiar de ciudad. Pretendo seguir escribiendo, para mi Molondo es mucho y no quiero dejarlo atrás, así que espero poder seguir contando cosas interesantes ahora desde el punto de vista de una madre trabajadora viviendo en Madrid. 

Si estuviéramos tomando un café...te contaría que para empezar nuestra vida en Madrid, este fin de semana nos vamos allí para intentar solucionar algún tema, celebrar mi cumple y el de mi padre (que es el mismo día) y de paso, empujada por So Sunny voy a ir a Petit Fashion Week para poner cara a todas estas blogueras que sigo y que tengo muchas ganas de conocer.

Si estuviéramos tomando un café...te dejaría que asimiles mi gran noticia y que me cuentes que te parece, todas las opiniones son mas que bienvenidas.


If we were having a coffee... I would tell you that the most incredible things occur when you don't wait anything. My amazing new is that after almost 4 years in London we will return to Madrid. The principal reason is because I got a new job there, I am excited with the idea to return to work!! We have had an incredible time here, as full mother and bloger, I would never change this for anything, amazing experience. This opportunity came in the best moment for us. My husband needs to travel a lot, we were thinking on returning to Spain soon, so it is perfect. The girls can join their new school in January, after holidays, (we are looking for an english school in Madrid with vacancies...) and for me is an incredible opportunity to come back to work in a great company in Madrid. So we are very very excited!!

If we were having a coffee...I would tell you in relation to Molondo, I want to continue writing it. For me Molondo is more than plans with kids in London, I know this is the foundation but probably it can grow up and change with me. And now is going to be more the life about a working mother with 2 girls in Madrid doing a lot of things to tell you. 

If we were having a coffee...I would tell you that to begin our new lives, this weekend we will be in Madrid trying to close some things we need to close, but pushing by So Sunny I will have time also to go to Petit to put face to all the incredible bloguers I follow and I am looking forward to seeing them.

Plans with kids in London: London Aquarium

Este fin de semana hemos visitado el acuario de Londres. Cómo ha llegado el frío de repente, es un buen plan para hacer con niños. Lo teníamos pendiente, después de 3 inviernos aquí.

This weekend we went to visit the "London Aquarium". The winter is here, so it is a very good plan to do with kids in London. After 3 winters here, we visited it.

Está al lado del London Eye, es decir en el centro más turístico. Siempre es una buena opción si estás haciendo turismo por ahí y se te pone a diluviar.

It is located close to the London Eye, so in the touristic centre. If you are doing tourism and starts to rain remember the aquarium. 

La entrada no es nada barata, siempre puedes encontrar descuentos por alguna web. A mi la verdad es que me gustó bastante, tienen peceras muy grandes con todo tipo de peces y el recorrido está muy bien montado. Fuimos con unos amigos que decían que el Oceonografic de Valencia mucho mas espectacular, pero para que los niños disfruten un rato, no necesitan mas. 

The ticket is not very cheap, you can find discounts through the web. I really enjoyed it a lot. They have huge fish tanks with all kind of fishes, the tour is very well planned. We went with friend who were in the Valencia Oceonografic and said that this it was more spectacular. But for the kids is more than enough to enjoy the day.

Autumn in London

Weekend in Athens

Como os conté la semana pasada, mi señor esposo y yo nos escapamos a Atenas para pasar un fin de semana.
As I told you last week, my husband and I went to Athens to spend a weekend alone...

Tiene el tamaño perfecto para escaparse un fin de semana, tiene bastantes cosas que ver, se come bien, tiene mucha vida la ciudad. ¿Que mas se puede pedir?
Athens has the perfect size for a weekend. You have a lot of interesting things to visit, the food is amazing and the environment in the streets is very cheerful.


Para visitar, por supuesto lo mas importante es el Acrópolis. Está en lo alto de la ciudad y lo ves desde todos los puntos, es impresionante. Me encantó la iluminación por la noche, espectacular. Tienen una entrada que por 12 € tienes entrada a 5 de las principales atracciones que hay por toda la ciudad, merece la pena.
To visit, the most important thing of course is "The acropolis". It's on the top of the city and it is really amazing. You have an entrance for 12 € to visit 5 of the attractions around the city, included The Acropolis, it is worth it.

Otra visita obligada es el Museo del Acrópolis, lo abrieron hace un par de años, es un edificio moderno precioso lleno de partes de ruinas que han ido encontrando. Debajo del edificio, siguen encontrando ruinas, se puede ver por las plataformas de cristal. Para mi lo más interesante las maquetas que te enseñan como era la vida alrededor del Partenon y como han ido evolucionando las ruinas.

Another compulsory visit is the Acropolis Museum. A modern building with all the ruins inside. Below the building you can see through a cristal floor the ruins they found beneath. For me the best were the models where you can undertand how they lived around the Partenon. 

Para pasear, la zona de Plaka está llena de tiendas de souvenir, muchos restaurantes y está muy animado. El "Flea Market" es la plaza de la gente joven, tiene super ambientazo con gente tocando música y un montón de puestecitos de todo.
To go for a stroll, the Plaka and Monastiraki neighborhoods are full of restaurants and souvenirs shops. The Flea Market is full of young people, playing music and a lot of stands with different things

Me encantó también el paseo por el Agora antigua, una zona llena de restaurantes y bares con unas vistas espectaculares al Acrópolis.
I enjoyed a lot the stroll of the "antique Agora". It is an area with a lot of restaurants and cafes with nice views.

Para comer / To eat:

Hay millones de restaurantes, terrazas, cafés, de todo. Es difícil elegir, Yo te cuento los que probamos:
There are millions of restaurants, terraces, cafes...it is very difficult to choose one. I tell you the ones we tasted:

Para comida rápida sentado en la plaza, espectacular la pita de "kosta", el sitio es bastante "cutre" pero de verdad que la pita es espectacular. Está en Psyrri.
Para una cena tranquila en un sitio griego modernillo, nosotros fuimos a "mani mani" muy rico y muy bien de precio.
Al lado de la Catedral está "Tzitzkas & Mermigkas", también comida griega muy rica, las tapas para compartir son exquisitas.
También al lado de la Catedral probamos "Mono", también griego moderno muy rico.
Por la zona del Agora antiguo, nos fiamos ciegamente de la "Lonely" y cenamos en una taberna de barrio espectacular, las raciones son enormes, pero todo muy rico. Taverna tou Psara.

For take away, "kosta", the best pita in Athens. The place is very dodgy but the food is amazing. It is located in a nice square in Psyrri. 
For a nice dinner, we went to a greek modern restaurant "Mani mani". The food was amazing and very good price. 
Close to the Cathedral we tried "Tzitzkas & Mermigkas", very nice greek food, the appetizers are amazing to share.
Another one close to the Cathedral "Mono" modern greek cook. 
In the antique Agora neighborhood we trusted in Lonely planet and we went to a neighborhood tavern, Taverna you Psara, amazing food with huge plates.

Con 2 días enteros te da de sobra para visitar la ciudad, así que prepara un fin de semana y escápate a Atenas con tu maridito, que merece mucho la pena.

With 2 full days you have enough to visit a very nice city and have a rest. So choose the weekend and go to visit Athens. It worths it. I recommended to see the video of NYT 36 hours in Athens:  http://www.nytimes.com/
